Numu/Nuwu and Newe Indigenous peoples perform ceremony at Sentinel Rock, Peehee Mu’huh. The people are purposefully facing away from the mine site, which is not always the correct direction for ceremony. Their staffs include sacred eagle feathers, the nests for which are threatened by the mine. Fort McDermitt, Nevada, March 24, 2024.
