Protect "Dreamers" from deportation

Trump has ended the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, which shields young immigrants like Angie who were raised in the US from being deported. His latest immigration proposal pushes Congress to  dismantle family-based immigration, and spend additional funds on the government's broken and abusive immigration enforcement machine in order to protect DACA recipients and people like them from deportation. President Trump wants to build more detention centers, and hire thousands more Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. Tell Congress that immigrant youth matter and are not bargaining chips. Tell your representative to protect “Dreamers” AND block Trump’s request for additional immigration enforcement funds.

Human Rights Watch released an automated Twitter bot, @ImmigrantsAreUS, which is tweeting out profiles of some of the nearly 25 million non-citizens living in the US, both authorized and unauthorized, based on their responses to US Census Bureau surveys.

1. Find your Representative or call 202-224-3121.

2. Call his or her office and say:

“Hello. I am calling today to ask you to protect immigrant youth from deportation. I would like you to provide a “clean” protection for "Dreamers" without granting President Trump’s request for billions of dollars in increased funding for the Department of Homeland Security and his dangerous immigration agenda.”
