In addition to sitting on the Board of Directors of Human Rights Watch, Susan Kane is the co-chair of Human Rights Watch's New York Committee and sits on the US Program Advisory Committee as well as the Africa Division Advisory Committee. Susan is also a Board member of The Door, a youth development organization in New York City. She is a member of the Door’s Executive Committee and chairs its Program Committee.
Susan previously worked as a commercial litigation attorney, most recently at Latham & Watkins. In addition, she served as a clerk with the Hon. Richard K. Eaton at the United States Court of International Trade. She received her B.A. from the University of Wisconsin in English and Sociology and her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. She lives in New York City.
