Rebecca Riddell is the NYU Fellow at Human Rights Watch, working in the Europe and Central Asia Division. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, Rebecca worked with Haitian community organizations to advance human rights in the emerging mining sector through the NYU School of Law Global Justice Clinic. She interned previously with the Trade Policy and Negotiation Division at the U.S. Department of Labor, the NYU Stern Center for Business and Human Rights, and the U.S. Program of Human Rights Watch. During law school, she ran a non-profit that provided student advocacy to people seeking unemployment insurance. In 2013, she completed an International Human Rights and Law Fellowship at Zhicheng Legal Aid Office in Beijing. She received her law degree cum laude from New York University School of Law, her bachelor’s degree summa cum laude from Kenyon College, and was a Fulbright grantee in Thailand.
