Philippe LeDoux is an international lawyer based in New York City. He has conducted research and written on multiple fields of public international law, including human rights, international criminal law, international humanitarian law, and law of the treaties, among others. He is now an International Law Fellow in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Rights Program at Human Rights Watch. Prior to joining Human Rights Watch, he worked for several thematic mandates of the Special Procedures of the U.N. Human Rights Council and the Constitutional Court of South Africa. He holds a bachelor degree in Chinese law, and he also holds law degrees from University of California and from Columbia Law School.
