Hannah Flamm is the 2016-2017 New York University School of Law Fellow at Human Rights Watch. She works in the Health and Human Rights division, focusing on rights violations in U.S. nursing homes and the use of psychotropic medications as chemical restraints among older people in particular. During law school, she interned with the Southern Poverty Law Center, South Brooklyn Legal Services, and Schonbrun DeSimone, an international human rights and civil rights firm. She is a graduate of New York University School of Law and the Harvard University Kennedy School of Government, through which she participated in the NYU Family Defense Clinic and Harvard International Human Rights Clinic and volunteered with immigrant rights organizations. Before law school, Hannah worked for the International Rescue Committee in Haiti. She is fluent in Spanish.
