Elizabeth Seuling, managing director of the Development and Outreach Department, oversees international teams responsible for research, strategy, leadership-level giving, and partnerships with foundations and trusts across ten countries. Before joining Human Rights Watch in 2004, Elizabeth worked as a fundraising consultant with several international non-profit organizations. Prior to that, she worked in Serbia with members of parliament on security-sector reform, and in India where she directed a service-learning program for American students. She previously had a career in visual art in San Francisco and New York. Elizabeth earned a bachelor's in art history from Wesleyan University and a certificate in international affairs from New York University. She speaks Hindi, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, and French.
