Diana Semaan joined Human Rights Watch in 2011. She is a research assistant/associate based in the Beirut office. She assists in research on Syria and Lebanon. She received her Master’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick. Prior to working with HRW she interned at the Carnegie Middle East center focusing on the economy of the Levant region. She received her Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance from the Lebanese American University and after graduating worked for one year as a financial broker at Aksys capital.
