<<previous | index | next>> V. ConclusionEach of the five cases described in this report includes evidence linking former President Fujimori to serious crimes. The evidence includes the testimony of various witnesses and, in several cases, extensive documentation. It dramatically undercuts Fujimoris repeated public assertions that there is no evidence implicating him in crimes. Nor do the cases against Fujimori involve minor infractions or mere self enrichment. Rather, they involve crimes that harmed Peruvian democracy and violated the fundamental rights of Peruvian citizens. Justice requires that Fujimori finally be extradited to Peru to respond to the serious charges against him.
