Christine Ockrent is Chief Operating Officer of French Foreign Audiovisual, the holding supervising French TV and Radio World Services. The public funded company includes RFI, France 24 and TV5 Monde.
She began her career in broadcast journalism at NBC News and worked for eight years at CBS' 60 Minutes.
She has been newscaster and editor in chief of Antenne 2 news show. She has also been editor in chief of the weekly newsmagazine L'Express, editor in chief and anchor of current-affairs programs on France 3 Television.
She is the author of many books and essays.
She is on the board of International Crisis Group (ICG), the French Council on Foreign Relations (IFRI), the European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR), the Center for European Reform (CER), Human Rights Watch France, Reporters sans frontières and the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society.
She is graduated of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Paris and studied at Cambridge University.
She holds the cross of Officer of the Légion d’Honneur and of Officer of the Ordre du Mérite.
She is a member of the Paris Committee since it was created in 2007.
