About the Paris Committee
The Paris Committee president is Jean Louis Servan Schreiber. The Committee is made up of influential figures from both France and abroad, with diverse professional backgrounds and outlooks, whose common interest is to engage in action on behalf of human rights. It plays a supremely important role in supporting and raising the profile and impact of Human Rights Watch in France.
The aims of the Committee are to:
• Support the work and advocacy efforts of Human Rights Watch by becoming ambassadors for the organisation in different spheres: political, business and media;
• Spread the organisation’s message among a broad audience at both public and private events throughout the year;
• Raise funds in order to allow the organisation to pursue its work in France and worldwide.
