On the next two days, tens of thousands of people started leaving their homes.  In particular Kikuyu people began moving out of the slums of Nairobi, the Rift Valley and western Kenya in general, where they were targeted by gangs of ethnic Luo and Kalenjin in Eldoret, Nakuru, Molo and Kisumu. These people are seeking sanctuary in Eldoret in the Rift Valley. Others sheltered in police stations, churches and hastily set-up camps run by the Kenyan Red Cross. © 2008 Reuters
