Abdul Ghani

Nationality: Afghan

Abdul Ghani, an Afghan believed to be about 36 years old, is accused of conspiracy, attempted murder in violation of the laws of war, and providing material support for terrorism. The United States claims that in 2002, Ghani helped transport and plant landmines and other explosive devises to be used against US and coalition forces, fired rockets at US bases, trained other fighters how to use rockets, landmines and other explosives, accepted money from Al Qaeda and shot and seriously wounded an Afghan soldier. The Convening Authority of the Military Commissions must approve the charges before Ghani is formally charged.
