Description: The Annual Dinner Consultant will:
- coordinate logistics of the Annual Voices for Justice Dinner (Annual Dinner) and the Defender visit to San Francisco, including: travel logistics and hotel stays; setting up meetings and speaking events with community members, press, activists and potential funders; preparing master schedule for Defenders and Volunteers; working with vendors; soliciting donations for auction items and gift baskets; organizing Annual Dinner materials
- organize and prepare materials for meetings with special events staff and the Annual Dinner Planning Committee
- participate in and produce minutes for Annual Dinner Committee meetings in San Francisco
- coordinate sponsorship, save-the-date and invite mailings
- assist in recruiting and organizing volunteers for the Annual Dinner Tour and coordinate schedules
- update and track expenses for the Annual Dinner
- assist with gift processing for the Annual Dinner, including acknowledgement and tax letters
- assist with producing the Annual Dinner Program (booklet) for San Francisco and other Dinner materials
- create the “Dinner Pages” on HRW San Francisco website
- provide administrative and clerical assistance in the San Francisco office, including with regard to newsletters and other mailings and the coordination of local events
Consultancy Period and Compensation: The period of this consultancy will be from mid-July 2008 to mid-December 2008. HRW seeks exceptional applicants and offers competitive compensation.
