Description: The New York Senior Office Manager will be responsible for providing a high level of professional operations leadership in HRW’s busy and growing 150-person New York office. He or she will report to the Director of Finance and Administration and supervise a small office management staff. He or she will be expected to build close and collaborative relationships with the managers and staff based in the New York office, taking initiative to identify and solve problems and identify and implement operations innovations. The Senior Office Manager will be responsible for headquarters facilities management, including, but not limited to, office security and protocols; supplies; furniture; telecommunications; mailroom; publications fulfillment; office space allocation; liaising with the premises landlord; office appearance and décor; amenities; events logistics; responding to public queries; implementing steps to ensure a professional, congenial, and friendly office environment; and other assigned tasks. The HRW Operations team prides itself on its professionalism and on providing the highest levels of responsiveness and service to staff across the organization.  
 
Qualifications: Candidates should have excellent academic credentials and a minimum of 5 years of operations, administrative or management experience running a demanding and fast-paced office. Candidates must demonstrate excellent organizational skills, a proven history of taking initiative and solving problems, exceptional time management skills, superb interpersonal skills, high energy and attention to detail.
