Synopsis:
Concerned by the inequities in the criminal justice system and its treatment of youth, YO-TV producers examine the New York City juvenile justice system. TOUGH ON CRIME focuses on the societal factors that cause youth crime and the problems in the system, while exploring a range of possible solutions. By incorporating the personal stories of youth who have experienced the system and interviews with experts such as lawyers, judges, and social workers, the YO-TV producers show what can happen when youth enter the maze of the New York City juvenile justice system.
