You can type in your date, time, and location at the bottom of the page. It is also very useful to include a web address or phone number for more information. Then, print the flyer on brightly colored paper and post it in high traffic areas! It is extremely effective and efficient to use email as a form of outreach and promotion for the films. One can use the descriptions with links to our website or your own website. Be sure to include all the practical information regarding location, times and tickets in each message. The sites suggested below are useful both for individual film outreach, as well as general promotion of the festival. Tolerance.org www.tolerance.org/maps/human_rights/ Tolerance.org is a web project of the Southern Poverty Law Center, and it encourages people from all walks of life to "fight hate and promote tolerance." You can use the site to search for human rights organizations in your community. GuideStar www.guidestar.org GuideStar is a non-profit database with a free search function available to the public on the web. You can visit this site to find other social justice organizations in your community who might be interested in specific films and the festival. Independent Media Center www.indymedia.org Indymedia is a collective of independent media organizations and hundreds of journalists offering grassroots, non-corporate coverage. If there is a local indymedia branch near you, contact them to get the word out about the festival! National Public Radio (NPR) www.npr.org NPR has more than 680 member stations and many local NPR stations produce programs on film and/or human rights. If you go to the NPR site, you can easily find the stations closest to you and their contact information.
