KILLING THE STORY investigates the murder of Ukrainian journalist, Georgy Gongadze, and the political firestorm it has ignited. Following the emergence of secret tape recordings of Leonid Kuchma (President of the Ukraine) implicating him not just in Gongadze's death, but also in international crime and corruption. With access to all the key players in the drama, including the President (Kuchma) his bodyguard, Major Melnychenko, who taped his conversations; a former FBI special agent who has been contracted to track down Gongadze's killers, and the journalist's widow, KILLING THE STORY offers a complex portrait of these events.
