This year in Amsterdam, Human Rights Watch will honor Sihem Bensedrine, a Tunisian journalist and activist who has worked for more than two decades to expose human rights violations in Tunisia and defend freedom of expression. For her tremendous courage and perseverance in speaking out against abuses and championing human rights reform in Tunisia, we will honor her with our highest tribute, the Alison Des Forges Award for Extraordinary Activism.
This year’s Voices for Justice Annual Dinner will be held in ‘De Stadsschouwburg’ in Amsterdam. Doors are open at 18.30 and the program begins promptly at 19.00, followed by dinner and an auction.
