Pierre Bairin is the Media Director at Human Rights Watch, overseeing the growing multimedia department responsible for producing photo, video and audio features. He  is also leading Human Rights Watch's outreach to broadcasters and other electronic media partners. Before joining Human Rights Watch he worked for CNN for nearly 20  years as an editor and field producer covering conflicts and breaking news around the world, including more than a decade with Christiane Amanpour. Pierre Bairin is Belgian and graduated from the University of Brussels with am MA in Journalism and Communication.
