Michele Alexander

Michele Alexander, Human Rights Watch's Development and Outreach Director has managed the organization's fundraising activities since 1996, now raising more than $45 million annually with operations in 15 cities in North America and Europe. In previous positions, Michele conducted development and program missions in Haiti, Pakistan, and Ecuador while working with both CARE - where she was a vice president - and the United States Agency for International Development. She also worked as a training consultant for the Anti- Defamation League, working with universities and corporations on diversity issues.  Michele holds a law degree from Brooklyn Law School where she was a member of Moot Court Honor Society, and has done graduate coursework at New York University.
