Child Farmworkers Poster Contest

Human Rights Watch Student Task Force is a group of students and teachers from high schools and colleges in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas who are passionately committed to the fight for human rights, specifically the rights of children and young adults worldwide. By focusing on one or two current issues each semester, they are able to not only raise awareness of the problems, but to actually work for change.

In April 2001, the Student Task Force sponsored an art competition to raise awareness of the plight of U.S. child farmworkers as reported in the June 2000 publication, "Fingers to the Bone: United States Failure to Protect Child Farmworkers." Winners of the competition are as follows:
