The following websites have information on international, regional and national laws on migrants’ rights, the campaign for the ratification of the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families, and news on migrants’ rights issues, and links to organizations working on migration issues.

The United Nations Special Rappporteur on the Human Rights of Migrants. This multilingual website has a questionnaire for reporting violations, as well as links to UN reports, resolutions, and conferences on migrants rights.

The Global Campaign for the Ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Migrants. The International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families must be ratified by twenty states to come into force. Nineteen states have ratified as of April 2002. Human Rights Watch is a member of the Campaign’s Steering Committee.

December 18: The Portal for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Migrants. This multilingual website has links to UN and regional treaties and mechanisms for promoting migrants’ rights, and news, resources, and campaigns. International Labor Organization. This multilingual website includes links to international and national labor laws and statistics on migrant workers.
