Child Soldiers Ratification Campaign

Mozambique

Many thousands of child soldiers fought in Mozambique's civil war. Mozambique has ratified the African Charter and former First Lady Graca Machel has been a champion of the issue. Mozambique hosted the Coalition's African regional conference. Surprisingly, however, Mozambique has not yet signed the Optional Protocol.
