Child Soldiers Ratification Campaign Morocco Morocco maintains a clear "straight-18" position. It participated very positively in the Amman Conference on the Use of Child Soldiers. It signed the Optional Protocol in September 2000 and has indicated to the Coalition it is considering early ratification Success! On May 22, 2002, Morocco ratified the optional protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflicts.
