Child Soldiers Ratification Campaign

Jordan

Jordan hosted the Coalition's recent Middle East and North Africa conference in Amman. Jordan recruits volunteers from 17, but has generally been very supportive on this issue. Her Majesty Queen Rania is a strong champion of children's rights, acted as patron to the Coalition to Stop the Use of Child Soldiers and participated in the last preparatory session for the upcoming UN Special Session on Children. Jordan signed the Optional Protocol in September 2000.
