Child Soldiers Ratification Campaign

Cambodia

Cambodia had a tragic history of child soldiers on all sides during its long civil war. The government is now in the midst of a major demobilisation and reintegration program. Cambodia participated positively in the Coalition's Asia regional conference and was the first Asian government (and one of the first governments) to sign the Optional Protocol in June 2000.
