Fellow, Disability Rights Division

Rashmi Chopra is a fellow in the Disability Rights Division where she is researching barriers faced by people with disabilities in accessing HIV services and treatment in Zambia.  Previously Rashmi has worked on international human rights law litigation and has researched child rights issues including child labor, juvenile justice practices, access to HIV treatment and protection of children affected by conflict. Rashmi comes to HRW from Cambridge University and Columbia Law School, where she conducted research on counter terrorism and human rights and the impact of extractive industries on economic and social rights.
