Counsel, International Justice Program
Balkees Jarrah is counsel in the International Justice Program where she focuses on West and North Africa and the Middle East regions.She is a former law clerk at the Federal Court of Canada and has worked at the Brookings Institution supporting the mandate of the special representative of the UN Secretary-General on the human rights of internally displaced persons. She holds degrees in common law and civil lawfrom McGill University, a masters from the University of Oxford, and a bachelor of arts from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
