LICADHO, the Cambodian League for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights Since 1992, LICADHO has been at the forefront of efforts to protect the rights in Cambodia and to promote respect for civil and political rights by the Cambodian government and institutions. Building on its past achievements, LICADHO continues to be an advocate for the people and a monitor of the government through wide ranging human rights programs from its main office in Phnom Penh and twelve provincial offices. Documentation Center of Cambodia The Documentation Center of Cambodia (DC-Cam) became an independent Cambodian research institute on January 1, 1997. It aims 1) to serve as a permanent resource to provide the public with a better understanding of the Khmer Rouge regime, and to Cambodians or others who may wish to pursue legal redress for genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity which may have been perpetrated under the Democratic Kampuchea regime between 1975-79, and 2) to prevent the return of the “Killing Fields” to Cambodia through legal and peaceful means. The DC-Cam is not a governmental organization, a political party or a court. NGO Forum on Cambodia The NGO Forum is made up of local and international non-governmental organizations grounded in their experience of humanitarian and development assistance to Cambodia. The NGO Forum exists for information sharing, debate and advocacy on priority issues affecting Cambodia’s development. The NGO Forum highlights the impact of development processes and economic, social and political changes on Cambodians. Khmer Intelligence Khmer Intelligence is a non-governmental organisation whose objective is to collect sensitive information from non-easily accessible sources to help Khmer and foreign observers better follow and understand the situation in Cambodia. |
